The Large-scale Project Maximisation Committee was established during the construction of the Alcan Alma Plant. Now known as CMAX, the organisation has achieved very impressive results. The regional economic benefits generated by the construction of the Péribonka Hydroelectric Power Plant should exceed $500M out of a $1.3 billion project. Regional workers accounted for no less than 80% of the manpower required to achieve the project.
